Every piece of this kit made it feel like I was building a scene from a storybook. The roses, the soft moonlight, and those delicate little windows are absolutely dreamy. The built-in light and music box were my favorite touch. It took me around 5 hours, and it was worth it.

    Beautiful! Need stronger glue.

Fun to build! I love how the finishing look was and how small it is. I do struggle turning the light on and off since it could be due to the layering of paper. Otherwise it is very beautiful for it being "Alice in Wonderland" themed!! Could use better glue for some parts.

Love it and was fun! Just a few tips ahead...

I absolutely loved making this Alice book nook. I took my time on it and ended up using 2 tubes of the B7000 glue based on the reviews saying it wasn't sturdy. It turned out great. Can't wait to do the next one. I recommend buying a good pair of craft tweezers, the cheap ones become unusable quickly. As for the many books, I got a full sheet of sticker paper and copied the sheet included to print it on the sticker paper, so I didnt have to glue each one. I just cut them out and stuck them on. Major time saver! I also used a small craft mallet to make sure the posts all fit in perfectly, just tapped each in. Once the two inner walls are done they don't go into the floor holes easily, but a tap tap on the rubber side of the mallet got them in perfectly so the outer walls fit perfectly. I use a craft mallet for difficult pieces fitting together on all my book nooks. Also, the boards of pieces often have pieces fall out, your future self will appreciate if you immediately write the board letter and number on the back of them so you don't have to guess where pieces go later. A few of the boards fell apart as I was punching out pieces.

    First time!

I've never done a book nook before and I think it came out pretty nice! You have to be very delicate and some of the pieces needed sanding on order to fit in the holes which was a bit annoying. I didn't care for the gluing parts as much but it had plenty of glue and it worked well. i think the instructions changed a bit (mine was a year plus old) and they might have made some improvements.

    Fun to Build

This one was really fun to put together. I appreciate that some of the more delicate parts had additional pieces in case they broke while popping them out (like the clock hands). The scene is really fun as well, and had lots of little details that were enjoyable to build without being annoying (I did one that had so many books to put together that it held me up for a bit). It's really helpful to download the manual so that you can zoom in to see how pieces go together and which side is accurate. I really like how it looks as well and have had it lit up every day to enjoy. Some of the small pieces were difficult to pop out, but as long as you take your time and are careful, it was okay. I did have to do quite a bit of sanding to get some pieces to fit. The top is a little wonky, but that's pretty normal for these kits and no one else but me seems to notice it. Excellent kit.

    Fun and challenging

The instructions could be a little more detailed. It was fun putting it all together and the final product is worth the struggle! Would recommend.

NOT easy but came out PERFECT❤️

For my first book nook this was not an easy project. I ended up having someone help me with this to speed up the process and even then it took some days. Some of the pieces didn’t always fit together and the instructions weren’t always super clear. The accessories were in perfect condition and I had all the pieces. I did break a few while doing this but it was easily able to glue back together or be hidden. I would advise you glue everything even if it tells you not too. TRUST ME…just glue it. In the end it came out perfect and it looks amazing on my book shelf. The light is bright and works/ fits perfectly in the book😊

    Challenging and fun

Ok this is not an easy project. The instruction manual is confusing and hard to read, and some wood pieces are rather thin and need to be removed very carefully. The overall architecture is very well done however. It's a surprising complex structure inside with varying side window sizes to increase the depth perception. The clock is the back elegant.A quick advice. If you sand down the wood connectors a bit, it's a lot easier to put them together and you have less chance of breaking anything. We painted some pieces with gold accent and it greatly improves the look. The light switch design is rather clever. All in all we got a high degree of satisfaction having finished this.

Maybe not for beginners but still good

I received this as a gift. I've made similar wooden models before but this was my first book nook. While it all came together in the end, I think the instructions were a little difficult to follow. Some examples:- The pillars on the sides require four little pieces to hold together the top and bottom. Instead of these being labeled as 1, 2, 3, and 4, all four are just grouped together as group 1. I spent a lot of time just trying to figure out which of the four pieces went where.- The pictures in the manual are a little dark so it can be hard to make sure you have pieces oriented correctly.- The boards are labeled something like "C" through "I" but randomly some pieces are "W"? But there's no W board, so you have to hunt for them.- The manual makes it seem like the light switch can be under the floorboard and that absolutely doesn't work. The light has to be under the paper carpet in order to register your touch (it's a touch light - you touch your finger to the sensor chip).- Some pieces were also super loose so I needed to use glue more than I expected. Elmer's glue worked for the most part.- I'm a little concerned I won't be able to change the battery in the light box. It's not super accessible. We'll see!Overall it's good, and if you have some patience you can figure it out. I wouldn't say this is great for beginners though.

    Be very attentive

So all together packaging presentation was very well put together. But as I'm starting to put pieces together I am seeing that some are misshapen or represented in the book as one thing. And then when you actually look at the cutout it is a different thing. So pay attention while putting this together and be sure that you match all the pieces up and have your file ready and be sure to use it on the pieces. After you punch them out of the board, it can affect your pieces fitting together correctly. Excited to see what this looks like once it's put together. I'm giving it a three-star now that may change

Neat, but not worth the price

The material is pretty sturdy but the directions are not the best. They do not include the glue they say you need to use, luckily I had tacky glue on hand, which worked well. There were some steps they told you to glue things with no precise direction that will mess you up in future steps if you are a bit off. There are parts they don’t tell you to glue, but it won’t stay if you don’t. Be patient and don’t try to force any of the pieces, use the file and they should click right in. If it was $20 I would feel it was worth the bad directions and me having to think out of the box for some things. $50+ is too much.

Fun but Frustrating -Alice in Wonderland Nook

You need Super Glue and batteries!!!! Oddly the kit does not come with either even though the booklet shows using glue in areas. I had to file down almost every fitted piece. The pieces are too fragile, don't easily go in without fear of breaking, and some pieces were hard to pop out of the sheets. I got about 3/4 done and things started falling apart when I moved it to put on the roof beams and the walls. Once I was 124% positive a piece went somewhere I glued it. The books and scrolls were fun to make and I glued every one of them to each other and the shelves. They aren't going anywhere. 😂Wires were easily placed. Would I buy another? Yes and probably in the next couple months. I wish The kit came with every thing you need. The cut outs need to be less fragile! Great find and I now have a new collection to start on!! 😁

    Amazing Book Nook

My wife had so much fun making this booknook she didn't notice how long it took! Some pieces don't completly fit together so she had to make some changes such as completly chopping off some of the connecting pieces and just gluing it or sanding the pegs so they fit, but 90% of the book nook fits together without those problems, the main pieces are STURDY and you need a little muscle to fit them in but it can be done. It wasn't a super hard book nook to complete but there are some mistakes on the instructions manual, but with some patience and some critical thinking it is definetly possible to figure out. She was super happy with her Christmas present, she just wishes she didn't finish it so quickly lol

Anyone else having trouble getting the dust cover in? The instructions don’t even give any details on how to install it?

Beautiful product and great wood quality although I wish the inserts would go in without the need for sanding as much but asides from that it was perfect
