I completed the Phantom of the Opera book nook kit. Overall, the final product is really beautiful, but this is not the best book nook design compared to others I’ve completed. As others have stated, there are some very thin, fragile pieces that are difficult to place without breaking.There are also some steps that require gluing pieces together, but some of those steps were missing indicators, which caused trouble later on. In particular, next to Christine, there’s a stack of books with a candle on top, but there was no indication of where to glue the books to the carpet. I accidentally glued them in a way that prevented the other platform from attaching to the carpet, and I had to detach and reglue the books post-hoc. It’s unclear why the gluing needed to happen during an earlier step if it could prevent other pieces from coming together.There are other questionable design choices that made the final product feel less durable. Sometimes pieces would fit together nicely, but other times they would be loose or wobbly. Other book nooks I’ve put together felt super solid, but that’s not the case with this one.Also, this book nook contains a small mirror in the back. Whenever there’s a mirror element, the book nook should use double-sided pieces (i.e., designs painted on both sides of each piece) because the reflection will show the back. There are no double-sided pieces here, so the mirror just shows the plain wood on the backs of large pieces like the Phantom.
It’s absolutely beautiful and was so fun to make! I bought this as a birthday gift for my friend and she loved it.My only problem was that some of the walls were bowed so we had to cut pieces off and glue the walls together to make them stay.This is also not a project to do in one sitting. Take your time and take breaks.
Cute little book nook, very easy to put together. The only issue I had was that some of the top and outside panels did not “snap” into position securely. They were very loose and had to be glued into place. Would have been a cute idea to add a music box as well.

In the beginning, they have you put stickers on some parts. They included piece numbers for everything except the books, which left me very confused…but I ended up finding instructions for those like 5 pages later. Another issue is that they have a glue symbol in steps that use glue, but they don’t tell you which pieces to glue together. And there were a few steps that had the symbol but shouldn’t and vice versa.
Fortunately, the assembly was easy enough to understand even with the poor instructions and it turned out great!

This was soooo fun to build and it’s soooo freaking gorgeous!! The only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because I felt like some pieces felt really weak, none of them actually broke, but the way they felt when I was trying to combine them made me worried I’d crush it. I’ve built other book nooks from other brands, and this one was the same price as one I built with my brother that was way better quality. Real wood would be a plus for sure. Regardless of the somewhat weaker material, it turned out gorgeous and I can’t stop staring at it!
I am in love with this puzzle. I've never put a 3d puzzle together before and was worried the tabs would break. So far the wood is pretty dang strong. No peices have been screwed up by me yet ( amazing) this is one of the coolest projects I have ever completed. Looking for my next one!
I love putting these things together and the images are printed on most of it with stickers and glue is used in certain areas, which is nice. If you do happen to break a piece, you can gently glue it together.
Loved it and it turned out great, it is harder then other booknooks I’ve done so I don’t recommend it for a first time build if you’re not a crafty person. You get everything you need to build it but I recommend using your own glue.

i had alot of fun putting this book nook together the one thing i would recommend is when you are putting the sides and back and top all together is to put a little wood glue around the seems but over all it turned out great its a was a good way to relax it wasnt as time consuming as the first book nook i built also when taking out the pieces i numbered the pieces
This was so beautiful. What a wonderful experience. The cut outs are perfect and fit together extremely well. It comes with a file for the leaves that just need a little wiggling together. The glue was wonderful, and didn’t dry out. The tweezers were very helpful, and the directions were very clear. This is my first nook and took me 10 hours to complete (tea and food breaks) and I am immediately buying another. Cheaper than legos and incredibly beautiful and detailed. The lights were so easy to install. It uses 2 AAA batteries, so no expensive watch flat batteries.
Only complaint - it was missing a few markers as to where to glue certain things so my end result was only like a mm or 2 off. Still went together really nicely. Highly recommend. Sooo freakin happy
