Roaring Twenties Speakeasy - DIY Book Nook Kit

I purchased 3 to 4 mini kits a month so I’m very familiar with which ones are good quality and which ones are not. Mini city as well as this seller are new to me and I could not be more pleased with everything from the customer service to the quality of the products. I have purchased the Hemmingway house as well as the roaring 20s speakeasy and I cannot wait to start to work on them. As it often happens with these kids that have hundreds of pieces, I was missing a few pieces, but the seller responded immediately, in less than 12 hours, with a plethora of solutions that I could choose from. I cannot stress how amazing the customer service and the products are. I absolutely will be purchasing more kits from them in the future, as they will be on my monthly rotation of kits to purchase.!!

This is the 5th book nook I have put together and I absolutely love it. It was not as hard to put together as a few of the other ones I have assembled. It is my 2nd favorite next to the Dark Room book nook that I completed (which was the first book nook i ever put together.).

I'll be honest, when I ordered this I did not expect to an involved crafting product. With that being said, putting this together was quite the effort. The instructions were clear and defined though. The box comes provided with sheets of wood that are beautifully cut and printed to eventually be put together into what you see in my photos. Along the way I definitely screwed up a few times. I won't tell you where I messed up, but there are a few imperfect areas. I won't tell you where because despite my mistakes, the results are still nice. Even the lights/electronic parts came set up and ready to go. It just took a bit of careful positioning towards the end. If I had one critique it would be that the 'on' button up top is a bit hard to "activate". Maybe I installed it wrong.Overall it was a fun project. Took less than 8 hours over 2 or 3 days. I wasn't timing myself. Now it sits on my bookshelf hidden away.

I loved and hated it at times. It comes out so cool, but there were certain steps I felt were out of order. Worth it in the end even though it fell apart 100 times 🤣

This one was one of the best book nooks for clarity of instruction and quality of wood, I love the final product and it's one of my favorite book nooks

My 18 yr old daughter is home from college and this was a project we did together. She worked on this one and I did a different one. This was a great first project. Easy pieces, good glue and instructions were okay. Some confusion in the beginning and at least two mislabeled parts but easy to see what to do from the drawings. She’s a huge Phantom fan so also perfect there. The light kit worked well and don’t think she broke any of the pieces. Very sturdy.

I got the speakeasy and put it together in about 6-7 hours. It was pretty easy to follow! I do have some small complaints, the glue they send with it is awful, I had to use superglue instead. My dust cover came cracked so I’m gonna ask for a new one. And lastly, the power switch wasn’t clean on where to place it until the last steps in the model. But overall it was still so fun and super cute that I’d still give it 5 stars.

The top left corner was cut of the table runner. Also the smell was very strong when I opened the plastic shrink wrap. However, this kit goes together beautifully. It has the best directions in color and the pieces are organized in a way that just makes sense. The smell goes away after an hour or so. I will probably order another one to give as a gift
