Time Book House - DIY Book Nook Kit

I have really enjoyed putting this together. For anyone thinking about putting this together, do all the books and scrolls 1st and strictly follow directions. I got excited and skipped around, got to the lights and have to pull some of it apart to run the wires. Otherwise I love it...

Wow!!! Perfect cozy fun on a rainy day!! Looks absolutely as perfect as it does on line. Quality pieces, satisfying snap when popping out pieces. 100% would recommend

This is my first book nook. It was so much fun putting together and I love it! Note that the desk does not line up to the correct holes to attach to the floor and the music stand didn't line up to put together or to the floor. Other than that it was great

This is the fourth book nook kit that I have built, and of them all I think this is the best engineered. Scored paper that folds easily, and all of the tools included - even glue! I wasn’t expecting the latter at all. The instructions are thorough and clear. At first I was hesitant because they are all in black and white, but I grew to appreciate it within a couple of small builds. The details on the printed pieces and the shear number of them are impressive, especially for the size of the piece. I am a little undecided on the hinged door with the dust screen and how it hangs, as well as the opening mechanism for the battery housing access. Both were a little difficult to handle once assembled. It was a gift for my elderly mom who loves it. I can foresee her having to struggle with the battery housing access so I may need to go over and mess with it a bit to get it to open more easily for her. TIP: Use cotton swab sticks to roll your scrolls around. I squashed about three of my would-be scrolls before I decided to try it. I cut the swab off one end with a pair of nail clippers, then attached the sticker edge to the stick and wound it around, then used the clippers again to cut the scroll off. It gave the scrolls a clean roll and the rigidity necessary to glue them into place and get get squashed. I highly recommend this kit. You can’t beat the quality for the price.

This "time book house" book nook was a fun project to complete and not too difficult. The hardest part was just handling so many small pieces. The kit included everything needed for completion - the only tool I used that did not come with it was a pair of tweezers, and only for the step of attaching the door hinges. There were spares for a few especially vulnerable pieces, though you can always use the included glue also if you should break a piece. The instructions were clear and easy to follow. My only wish is that the manufacturer had been more careful with the writing on the sides - the word pavilion is misspelled as pavilion, and it’s a very glaring mistake. I don’t care where it was made, but if you are going to use words in English as part of the design, at least get your spelling right. Nevertheless, it was enjoyable to do, went together smoothly, and everything works. So that’s a win.
